A 30-year-old female patient arrived at KD Hospital with a persistent cough for a month, accompanied by a fever. The patient was admitted under the care of Dr Mukesh Patel, an Interventional Pulmonologist & Lung Transplant Physician at KD Hospital. Her CT Thorax showed a possible foreign body with an added infective aetiology.
Dr Pradip Dabhi, Interventional Pulmonologist & Lung Transplant Physician at KD Hospital, performed the bronchoscopy under General Anaesthesia. A metallic foreign body (backing of the earring) was removed in toto. The patient's health significantly improved and she was discharged in a stable condition.
