KD Hospital performed a lung transplant for a 59-year-old patient from Rajasthan. Lung was transferred from Surat to Ahmedabad via a Green Corridor. Special thanks to the family of a 29-year-old brain-dead Jhaver Kakadbhai Kunwar for understanding the importance of organ donation, agreeing to donate all his organs, and saving the life of 7 people. A 30-year-old female patient arrived at KD Hospital with a persistent cough for a month, accompanied by a fever. The patient was admitted under the care of Dr Mukesh Patel, an Interventional Pulmonologist & Lung Transplant Physician at KD Hospital. Her CT Thorax showed a possible foreign body with an added infective aetiology. A 45 years old, Ugandan female patient, came to KD Hospital with complaints of breast lump, nipple discharge and heavy, painful periods. Mammography was done along with a Tru-cut biopsy for the breast lump & Ductoscopy with ductal papilloma removal was performed by Dr Shefali Desai, Consultant Breast Surgeon to rule out malignancy. She was admitted under the care of Dr Ankita Jain, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Laparotomy for Myomectomy with bilateral salpingectomy was scheduled & 40 fibroids were removed. A 56-year-old frail female with a weight of 28kg, and a history of hypertension and Sjogren's disease, was brought to KD Hospital due to deteriorating breathlessness, generalized swelling, and reduced urine output. The patient and her relatives had almost lost hope but still wanted a final opinion from our experts before giving up on their two-month hospital journey. A 34-year-old female patient with a recent history of LSCS at 35 weeks of gestation with complaints of chest pain, breathlessness, jerky movements, and loss of consciousness for a day with complaints. She was admitted under the care of Dr Jigar Mehta Chief Intensivist and ICU Head, at KD Hospital. The History & Investigations were suggestive of HELLP Syndrome, Eclampsia, PRESS syndrome, PIH & AKI. The patient was put on ventilator support. 4 units of PCV, 8 units of PRC and 8 units of FFP were given to her in the first 48 hours of admission. Sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED) was conducted for a week.
